To lose weight, we need to stop eating out, stop eating oils and ghee (clarified butter) ,no pizzas, no burgers, no chicken biryani!! Not possible. Let’s leave it. I will give it a try from Monday.

Biggest Secret to Lose Weight is to EAT

Who all are familiar with such scenes? And since how many years is all the drama going on?
So here I am to reveal the biggest secret to Lose Weight is to EAT!!
Eat the right foods at the right time to boost your body’s ability to burn the stubborn fats and enhance the glow on your skin and hair. Indulge in nutrient rich foods like fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, cereals, pulses, dals, poultry, etc.
Generally what we do is, we restrict our comfort foods, avoid necessary carbs, and wholly concentrate on calorie deficit meals which are deprived of complete nutrition. I have seen many follow crash diet on only fruits and juices which people claim as “Detox”. It empties your body with energy, muscle mass and water, leaving you dehydrated and pale skinned.
Yes, it does give you results, makes you look skinny but what happens on the inside? Ever thought of what is going on inside the body? How stressful it is and how badly it is craving for nutrients just like you crave a warm gooey brownie at midnight.
Starving and eliminating unnecessary foods to make you fit into your lehenga or an old jeans leads to muscle breakdown and calcium drainage. Though the weighing machine shows a drop by 5kgs and the waist line has sunk in, are you sure is it the fat that you’re getting rid of or the muscle?
When your plate does not have enough nutrients to eliminate the “FAT” from your body, then your muscle is compromised for it. It is used up and broken down to give you energy to carry out your daily activities. This in turn leads to bone injuries and nutrient deficiencies. It could be low total protein levels in the body that takes away the lustre of your hair, makes the skin saggy and bothers body’s growth and development. Such scenarios can turn into morbidities at any phase of life be it pregnancy, post pregnancy, neonatal stage, childhood, teenage, adulthood or old-age.

Healthy Diet

In addition to this, lack of physical activeness is another important factor of muscle loss. Diet and exercise ALWAYS go hand in hand as the food you eat gives you energy to workout and that in turn makes your body healthy and fit.
Be it a 30 minutes brisk walk, following a Zumba tutorial at home or working out at the gym, physical activity in any form is required to tone your body while you are in the process of losing weight. To make it more comprehensive and goal oriented, provide your body with pre and post workout meals. Calorie dense nuts and oil seeds before the workout releases energy slowly and throughout your exercise sessions. Similarly, when the body goes through wear and tear due to workout, provide it with protein rich sources such as milk and milk products, eggs, legumes etc.
By blindly following popular fad diets, it can all come down to inflammation and diseases (ranging from as minor as cough & cold to as major as stage 4 cancer) that imbalances the physiology of body and hormones to carry out a healthy lifestyle.

Once you’re adapted to this regime, you’ll never have to worry about your occasional binges.
